After we finished Matilda, we stayed in the wonderful world of Roald Dahl. Each student selected their own book to read and create a Lap Book of skills. Some students chose James and the Giant Peach, others chose The Witches or even Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After finishing the book, they completed Lap Books with skills such a problem and solution, setting and plot and cause and effect. Each student then decorated their Lap Book like their favorite scene from the text.

Matilda Projects
After finishing the book Matilda, the students each chose a project they would like to complete to show their understanding of a particular part of the book. Their projects turned out great and I was shocked and amazed by their creativity!

This week in school we have been reading the book Matilda! We have done many activities on Matilda, including determining how each character feels about her, describing Matilda, and drawing and describing The Trunchbull (That was probably our favorite!).
